Coffee Cold

I’m coffee cold
inside and out
jarring but satisfying nonetheless.
An acquired taste, at first,
but like all good things
eventually become necessary.
I’m coffee cold
so drink me down fast.
Make me a vital part of your morning
and again at midnight.
I promise you won’t regret it
until my absence starts to sting
no split.
For now, focus on how bold I am
and always have been.
I’m a substance half full
and a vice consumed with pleasure.
Mystique swirls around my murky depths,
mixing my make up of constant cream–
a bite of black and a whisper of white–
I’ve been brewed to your perfection.
So let me drip down deep,
let me steep, let me seep
into you.
